The Career Center’s mission is to assist students in the successful transition from academia to the world of work. In order to carry out this mission effectively, the Career Center provides services for all students, from the first year through graduation. These services include:
Career counseling and testing
Access to a career resource library containing a wide variety of information regarding career planning and development, occupations, graduate/professional schools, employment opportunities, and employer literature
Computer and internet-based applications designed to assist students with a diverse range of career-related issues
Outreach activities (workshops, seminars) via Career Center staff and Peer Career Educator Program
Personal assistance with resume and cover letter development, job search strategies, interview techniques, career exploration and graduate/professional school information
Opportunities to connect with employers for part-time jobs, internships and full-time positions
Career & Life Planning course for junior- and senior-level students.
