An employer may login to Handshake and add current career opportunities that are available with their company. The recruiting staff process the job on the administration side of Handshake in the Career Center where the student can view the job. These postings are also distributed to professors in related departments for announcement in their classes and listing on their student list-serve.
Handshake allows you to post and manage your jobs, request on-campus interview space and schedules, register for career fairs, search resume databases and download resumes.

We offer the employer many opportunities to interact with our students and faculty such as employer hosted faculty luncheons or participation in classroom discussions.
Employers may host luncheons for faculty and university administrators in one of two conference rooms located in Lyceum or in a private room of the Student Union. These informal yet elegant settings offer employers an opportunity to meet our faculty and some of the invited administrators. Employers may utilize this setting for presentations about their company and career opportunities available for our students. The Recruiting Coordinator will assist with reservations and other arrangements for the luncheons.
Employers may wish to participate in classroom activities or lectures. Faculty and staff from various fields of study welcome your professional perspective that reinforces the academic environment. Please check with the Recruiting Coordinator for arrangement information.
Employers are often asked to conduct workshops that are open to the entire student body. Suggested workshop topics include: “First Day on the Job,” “The Successful Candidate,” “Resumes that Work,” or “Buzz Words for Our Business.” These workshops provide students an insight into the professional world and provide employers with an opportunity to introduce their company and company culture to a diverse student population. Employers are encouraged to advertise their campus activities and employment opportunities in the student newspaper, The Daily Mississippian. This publication is distributed Monday-Friday throughout the campus during the academic year. Another form of advertising is through company flyers and posters that can be posted in student populated areas such as the Student Union, the Turner Center, and various academic buildings. The Recruiting Coordinator will arrange to distribute your flyers and posters throughout the campus.
